Consequently, this research adopts thermal catalytic oxidation for the purpose of catalyzing formaldehyde degradation in the elevated temperature environment inside the car during summer. MnOx-CeO2 is the selected catalyst because MnOx, among transition metal oxides, exhibits the highest catalytic efficiency for volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Furthermore, CeO2's excellent oxygen storage and release capacity and its oxidation activity play a crucial role in enhancing the activity of manganese oxide.
