Stress, among numerous contributing elements, can influence BDNF levels. Serum and salivary cortisol levels rise in response to increased stress. Academic stress, a chronic phenomenon, impacts students profoundly. Measurements of BDNF levels in serum, plasma, or platelets lack a standardized methodology, impacting the reproducibility and comparability of research findings.
Compared to plasma, serum BDNF concentrations show greater variability in their levels. Among college students experiencing academic stress, peripheral levels of BDNF decrease in conjunction with an increase in salivary cortisol.

The quantitative research design was non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive in nature.
Student volunteers are dedicated to serving the community. Twenty participants will be included via convenience sampling for the standardization of plasma and serum collection. Separately, between 70 and 80 individuals will be recruited to evaluate the impact of academic stress on BDNF and salivary cortisol levels.
Per participant, 12 milliliters of peripheral blood, both with and without anticoagulant, will be collected, separated into plasma or serum, and cryopreserved at -80 degrees Celsius. Besides, the process of collecting 1 mL saliva samples will be explained, and centrifugation will then follow. The Harris hawks optimization algorithm, a novel swarm-based heuristic approach, has consistently demonstrated impressive efficacy in prior applications. While HHO exhibits promising characteristics, it nonetheless encounters challenges like premature convergence and becoming trapped in local optima, a consequence of its exploration and exploitation mechanisms not being balanced. To mitigate the drawbacks, a new HHO algorithm variant, HHO-CS-OELM, is presented in this paper. This variant integrates a chaotic sequence and an opposing elite learning mechanism. By fostering a diverse population, the chaotic sequence improves the HHO algorithm's global search ability; conversely, the opposite elite learning mechanism, by maintaining the optimal individual, strengthens the algorithm's local search ability. Furthermore, it addresses the limitation of the HHO algorithm's inability to explore during later iterations while maintaining a balance between exploration and exploitation. The HHO-CS-OELM algorithm's strength is exhibited by comparing its results with 14 other optimization algorithms on a set of 23 benchmark functions and a practical engineering problem. Experimental results indicate the HHO-CS-OELM algorithm's enhanced performance over prevailing swarm intelligence optimization algorithms.

Overground gait assessments, utilizing the participants' customary socket, were conducted at 6 weeks, 12 weeks, 6 months, and 12 months subsequent to POP implantation. To evaluate frontal plane kinematic shifts over a 12-month period, a statistical parameter mapping approach was employed, contrasting the results with reference data from individuals without limb loss.
During the stance phase of prosthetic limb use, pre-implantation hip and trunk angles showed statistically significant deviations from reference values; similarly, pre-implantation pelvis and trunk angles relative to the pelvis displayed significant differences during the prosthetic limb swing phase. The only statistically significant change in gait cycle deviation from reference values, after six weeks of post-implantation, was observed in the trunk's angle. A twelve-month post-implantation gait analysis demonstrated that frontal plane trunk angle movements were no longer statistically different compared to normative values across the entire gait cycle. Significantly fewer patterns throughout the gait cycle of other frontal plane movements displayed statistical differences relative to normative data. No statistically significant differences in frontal plane movement patterns were found in participants between the pre-implantation period and the 6-week or 12-month post-implantation intervals.
After a twelve-month period following device implantation, all examined frontal plane patterns exhibited reduced or eliminated deviations from the reference values, while within-participant alterations over this timeframe did not reach statistical significance. Human behavior across the globe is investigated in this study, which examines reactions to sunrises and sunsets internationally, employing two distinct datasets from Instagram and Flickr. Through consistent and reproducible results across these datasets, we aim to develop more robust techniques for recognizing landscape preferences from geo-social media data, and simultaneously investigate the underlying motivations behind the photography of these specific events. Reactions to sunrises and sunsets are examined through a contextual framework comprising four facets: Where, Who, What, and When. Further comparisons of reactions are made across distinct groups, with the goal of determining differences in behavior and information propagation. Our research demonstrates the viability of a balanced assessment of landscape preference considering varied regional areas and diverse datasets. This strengthens the representativeness of the results and promotes an investigation into the specific 'how' and 'why' of events. Documented in detail is the process of analysis, thus enabling transparent duplication and application to other events or datasets.
